Earlier today, I was able to find the dates and locations of Copa Sur’s South America Semifinal and the Far East Throwdown’s Asia Semifinal. Additionally, all signs pointed to the French Throwdown hosting the European Semifinal. Well, turns out all of that was correct when CrossFit officially announced the dates and locations of all seven Semifinals in 2024.
The 2024 CrossFit Semifinals will be held during the three consecutive weekends beginning May 17 and ending on Memorial Day weekend, June 2. And after a year after CrossFit taking over the Europe and North American Semifinals, they have given them back to outside partners to run the events.
The French Throwdown will host the Europe Semifinal. Loud and Live, owners of Wodapalooza, will host the North America West Semifinal through its West Coast Classic arm. And Syndicate Crown will take over operations of the North America East Semifinal.
The top 40 men and women and top 30 teams from each region will compete for a spot at the CrossFit Games. While the number of individual spots to the Games will rely on the D’Hondt method, today’s announcement also outlined how many teams from each Semifinal will qualify for the Games.
