Colten Mertens, Mirjam von Rohr Win Again!

For the second week in a row, Colten Mertens and Mirjam von Rohr have posted the top score/time in the 2025 CrossFit Open. After winning 25.1 last week, Mertens and von Rohr both posted the fastest time on 25.2 this week.

Mertens originally posted a time of 4:08 on Monday morning, but he waited to post his faster time after re-doing the workout. Shortly before the submission deadline, Mertens shared a video of his re-do with a time of 4:01.

Von Rohr also attempted the 22.3 repeat workout multiple times, but for different reasons. The Swiss athlete originally did the workout on Friday night, but was unhappy after reviewing her video. “I didn’t film the video optimally and didn’t fully meet some standards – for example, my starting position was only behind the line and not also behind the barbell,” von Rohr explained in an Instagram post.

She redid the workout on Monday and posted a time of 4:18, good for 1st place and 10 seconds ahead of Erica Folo who had a time of 4:28.

As for comparing their times to 22.3, Mertens beat the top time three years ago set by Scott Tetlow (4:07). Von Rohr, however, was still slower than Mal O’Brien and Tia-Clair Toomey’s times of 4:11 and 4:12, respectively, back in 2022.

Toomey actually posted a time of 4:07 in 2022, but received a 5 second penalty for a false start.
