Dani Camacho Receives 2-Year Sanction for Violating Judging Requirements

Dani Camacho has received a two-year sanction from CrossFit for violating the judging requirements for Online Semifinals in the 2026 CrossFit Games rulebook.

It was determined that during the 2026 CrossFit Age-Group Semifinals, Camacho performed the floor judge duties for a masters athlete competing in the Online Semifinals. However, Camacho did not not have the required credentials to be a judge.

As such, CrossFit issued a two-year sanction to Camacho, the head judge and the athlete, Nerea Arregi, for violating the judging requirements within the CrossFit Games rulebook. In the email sent to Camacho, CrossFit indicated that the violations hurt the sportsmanship and integrity of the competition.

For Online Semifinals, the athlete must have a floor judge and a head judge. Both judges must hold a current CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) trainer credential higher and a current Advanced Judges Course certificate per Sections 4.02 and 4.07 of the 2026 CrossFit Games rulebook.

In a statement released by Camacho, he said he was the floor judge for an athlete who he works with. However, his L1 certification appears to have expired.

Camacho was planning to compete at the MAD Fitness Festival this past weekend in an attempt to qualify for the 2026 CrossFit Games. However, Camacho was unable to compete because of the sanction handed down.

Arregi finished 4th in the Women’s 55-59 division in the 2026 CrossFit Open. She followed that up with another 4th place finish in the Quarterfinals. Her Online Semifinals scores have since been removed, dropping her down to 145th overall.

Arregi’s videos on the Games leaderboard have since been removed and none of her videos on her YouTube channel are public.

All three individuals were not be permitted to participate in any CrossFit Games season events as an athlete or a judge for two years from May 7, 2026 to May 7, 2028.
