CrossFit released its CrossFit Games app (iOS & Android) yesterday. The Instagram story showed a picture of the app with two photos manually covered with the drawing tool. The photos were labeled 18.1 and 18.4.
But in the iTunes app store, screenshots of the app are not edited. The 18.4 photo shows two athletes in the bottom of a front squat. The men’s barbell is loaded to 95 pounds and the women’s is likely 65 pounds.

The photo could hint at several movements including squat cleans, thrusters or front squats. With thrusters never having been programmed before the last week, our bet is on squat cleans or front squats (which would be a first for the Open).
The other photo is for 18.1. Many have been speculating that 18.1 would be a repeat of 17.1, but the image would contradict those theories. The image shows someone hanging onto a pull-up bar which would mean chest-to-bar pull-ups, toes-to-bar or possibly even bar muscle-ups. If it’s a repeat, 16.1 is a good guess. Otherwise, we are looking at a new workout to kick off the 2018 season.
So what do you think? Do the images give away the movements/workouts of 18.1 and 18.4?
