The online qualifier for the Far East Throwdown is officially underway. For the Far East Throwdown, the only path to the in-person Semifinal in South Korea is through the online qualifier. No special invites, just performance in the qualifier.
The top 30 men and women and top 20 teams from the online qualifier will advance to the Far East Throwdown in Busan, South Korea, on May 1-3.
As for the online qualifier, the workouts for individuals and teams were announced over the weekend. Scores are due in two tranches with Workouts 1-3 due on February 6 and the remaining workouts (4-6 for individuals & 4-7 for teams) due on February 11.
With scores due on February 6, that is also the last day to register for the online qualifier.
The workouts are posted below. And as you can see, Event 1 for individuals is a 10,000-meter row. Pretty sure we have never seen that programmed in an online qualifier before…

Anyone can register for the Far East Throwdown. There are no regional restrictions, meaning anyone from anywhere can compete to qualify for the 2026 CrossFit Games.
The only caveat is that individual athletes must finish in the top 25% worldwide in the 2026 CrossFit Open and are ranked in the top 2,000 worldwide in Quarterfinals.
Teams must be officially registered in the 2026 CrossFit Open to be eligible to compete at the Far East Throwdown.
The top male, female and team at the Far East Throwdown will qualify for the 2026 CrossFit Games.
