For the third year in a row the CrossFit Games have a new apparel sponsor. From 2021 through 2023, NOBULL provided the apparel for the Games. Last year it was GORUCK.
This year it is Velites.
And with the individual athlete check-in tomorrow (Tuesday, July 29), we have our first look at what the athletes will be wearing on the competition floor.
Dave Castro shared a preview on his Instagram stories of what apparel will be given to Fee Saghafi when she checks in tomorrow.
The photo shows tank tops, leggings, shorts and sports bras. The tops are emblazoned with “SAGHAFI” along with the gym she trains at, CrossFit Tailwinds. The Velites and CrossFit Games logos are also visible on the tops. The pants show the Velites “V” logo.
It is hard to tell how many pieces of apparel will be given to the athletes, but it does appear to be less than previous years. Of course, athletes will only be competing three days versus the four or five in previous years.
UNIFORM POLICY
Similar to previous years, athletes will be required to wear the Velites apparel provided while on the competition floor, during briefings and at the ceremonies.
According to the Athlete Information Packet, athletes will receive the Velites uniforms (shown above), Velites footwear and sweatbands (not pictured) and ZENNI Optical sunglasses. Athletes will be required to wear the Velites uniforms while competing. However, athletes will be able to wear the shoe of their choice during the events.
ATHLETE CELEBRATION
There will also be an Athlete Celebration on Friday night after the conclusion of competition inside MVP Arena. Athletes will be required to wear their “Athlete Celebration Uniform”, provided by Velites, including Velites footwear.
