The online qualifier for the 2026 French Throwdown is officially underway. During a live announcement show this afternoon (evening in France), the workouts for Week 1 were revealed.
As part of the live announcement, Jelle Hoste and Victor Hoffer took on Workout 1 while Lucy McGonigle and Linda Keesman took on Workout 2, all live from Rogue Europe Showroom.
Workout 1
15-minute AMRAP of:
3 Ring Muscle-Ups
8 Thrusters (50/35 kg)
17 Calorie Row
The workout is based on “Topsy”, a CrossFit Hero WOD designed to honor McCoy “Topsy” Turner. Topsy is a 25-minute AMRAP and the barbell is loaded to 115/75 pounds.
Workout 2
“CrossFit Total V2”
0:00-3:00, 1 Rep Clean
3:00-4:00, Transition
4:00-7:00, 1 Rep Bench Press
7:00-8:00, Transition
8:00-11:00, 1 Rep Overhead Squat (from the rack)
The FTD online qualifier runs through February 15. However, scores for Workouts 1 & 2 are due on February 4. Because of this, registration also closes on February 4.
Then, on February 5, Workout 3 will be announced with that score submission due by February 10.

The 2026 French Throwdown is May 15-17 in Paris, France, at the Arena Grand Paris. The top 3 elite individuals, top 3 teams and top Masters athletes (qualification spots vary by division) will advance to the 2026 CrossFit Games.
