The online qualifier for the 2026 French Throwdown begins Thursday, January 29. To kick things off, four CrossFit Games veterans will square off in the FTD26 Qualifiers Face-off, live from the Rogue Europe Showroom. Victor Hoffer, Jelle Hoste, Lucy McGonigle and Linda Keesman will take on the first two workouts from the online qualifier, all livestreamed on the French Throwdown YouTube channel.
The livestream begins at 1:30pm Eastern Time in the United States. Hoffer and Hoste will take on Workout 1 while the McGonigle and Keesman will do Workout 2.
The French Throwdown Online Qualifier is two weeks beginning on January 29. Participants will have until Wednesday, February 4 at 8pm CET to submit scores for the first two workouts.
Then, on February 5, a third workout will be announced. Athletes will have until February 10 at 8pm CET to submit the final score.
To register for the online qualifier, head over to Competition Corner.
For those looking to compete in the elite individual division for a chance to qualify for the CrossFit Games, this is the first path (and only path for athletes outside of Europe) to qualify for the in-person Semifinal.
The top 20 in the world from the online qualifier will receive an invite to the French Throwdown.
Another 20 athletes will qualify via the CrossFit Quarterfinals. However, only European athletes are eligible to advance this route.
To be eligible to qualify for the CrossFit Games, athletes must still participate in the CrossFit Open and finish inside the top 2,000. However, athletes can compete at the French Throwdown even if they are ineligible to qualify for the Games.

The 2026 French Throwdown is May 15-17 in Paris, France, at the Arena Grand Paris. The top 3 elite individuals, top 3 teams and top Masters athletes (qualification spots vary by division) will advance to the 2026 CrossFit Games.
