We don’t have many details for the 2027 CrossFit Games season yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t qualify for one of the Semifinals. The French Throwdown will extend an invite to the top male and female athlete from the upcoming FTD x Mayhem Online Challenge.
That’s right. The top male and female in the elite division will automatically qualify for the in-person 2027 French Throwdown…which will almost certainly be a CrossFit Semifinal.
So unless you’re Roman Khrennikov or Jayson Hopper and expect to get a free invite, this is a great opportunity for the top athletes to get their 2027 plans in order.
The FTD x Mayhem Online Challenge begins on October 8, 2026, and runs through October 20, 2026. Athletes will have to complete and submit scores for three workouts.
Registration is €20 and is currently open on Competition Corner. However, registration closes midway through the competition on October 13. So don’t wait until the final day of the score submission window because it will be too late.
Oh, and if you’re not elite (only top 10% worldwide in the 2026 CrossFit Quarterfinals), you can register for the Open division. Although you won’t qualify for the 2027 French Throwdown Semifinal.
