The Mayhem Classic is just over two weeks away. Twenty men and 20 women will head to Cookeville, Tennessee, to compete in the first In-Person Qualifying Event of the 2025 CrossFit Games season. But while the first spots to the CrossFit Games will be earned, the athletes will also be competing for prize money.
This afternoon the Mayhem Classic announced the prize purse will be $81,500. The top 10 men and women will earn a portion of the prize money with first place taking home $15,000.
Here’s the breakdown of the prize money per placement:
1st: $15,000
2nd: $10,000
3rd: $5,000
4th: $3,000
5th: $2,500
6th: $2,000
7th: $1,500
8th: $1,000
9th: $500
10th: $250
The 20 athlete rosters are still not finalized. Multiple athletes have withdrawn since the initial roster was published. Earlier this afternoon, Cale Layman and Lindsey Lane were announced that they would be competing. They will be filling in for Tudor Magda and Aimee Cringle, respectively.
I’ve heard rumors there may be another athlete who may also withdraw, but an official announcement has yet to be made.
