MRI Confirms Sigmundsdottir Has Broken Rib

We knew Sara Sigmundsdottir withdrew from the 2018 CrossFit Games due to a rib injury. A week later an MRI has confirmed that Sigmundsdottir has a broken 9th rib.

Sigmundsdottir said that it appears her rib is healing nicely and has been told that she might be able to get back to full training in 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, the 4-time CrossFit Games veteran will be playing Super Nintendo.

Sigmundsdottir withdrew Saturday afternoon prior to the start of the Bicouplet 1 & 2 events. Sigmundsdottir was one of the favorites heading into the 2018 CrossFit Games after two podium finishes and a 4th place last year.
