CrossFit has already announced that the elite athletes competing during the Open announcements will have the opportunity to win a Rogue Fitness Golden Barbell. But in addition to that, CrossFit is awarding a member of the community one of the golden barbells each week.
While the elite athletes will have to win workouts to earn the Golden Barbell, the rest of us need to embody one of three themes during the Open. To participate, you can nominate someone each week based on that week’s theme:
24.1: The heart an soul of your gym
24.2: A local Service Open athlete
24.3 : An athlete with the most stand-out performance during an Open
To nominate a peer, post a photo or video on social media that explains why that person embodies the theme for that week and include the hashtag #GoldenBarbellAward in the caption.
The winners will be selected on the CrossFit Games Podcast each week and recognized during the live Open Announcement shows.
The Rogue Fitness Golden Barbell is a golden barbell with a Cerakote finish on the shaft. The image appears that the sleeves will be a matte black. The center of the shaft will feature the Rogue logo and the 2024 CrossFit Open logo.
