In its first year, the Norwegian CrossFit Championship (NCC) will use the CrossFit Open workouts as the qualifying event to advance to the Sanctional finals. The NCC announced the use of the Open on its Competition Corner site allowing athletes to register.
Athletes looking to compete in the NCC, will have to pay the 20 EUR registration fee. From there, athletes just have to wait until 20.1 of the CrossFit Open is released. Athletes will have to submit their score twice, once on the NCC Online Qualifier leaderboard and once for the CrossFit Open (assuming the athlete is doing both).
Teams looking to compete at the NCC will do the online qualifier/Open individually with their combined scores going to the team ranking.
The top 30 men and women will receive invites to compete in the Elite RX NCC while 31st to 60th will have the opportunity to compete in the RX competition. The top 30 teams will also receive an invite to the Elite RX Team NCC.
The NCC final will take place February 14-16, 2020.
The Brazilian CrossFit Championship and Down Under CrossFit Championships will also be using the Open as its qualifier.
