PRVN Notches Another Win, Milford Team Conquer in Qualifying Position

The final day for the teams began with a test of strength, cleans to be specific.

The men took to the barbell first with seven athletes going touch-and-go on the opening weight. CrossFit East Nashville PRVN came out to an early lead with Tola Morakinyo hitting 10 touch-and-go power cleans and Tim Paulson matching with 10 additional cleans of his own. Taylor Williamson kept the trend going with a set of 10 cleans for East Nashville PRVN with only one break after nine touch-and-go reps. CrossFit OBA accumulated 30 reps in the first round with 11 touch-and-go reps coming from Kelsey Kiel to put OBA in second place in the heat.

CrossFit East Nashville PRVN never looked back with 48 reps through the men’s 295 pound bar, and up to 58 through the women’s 215 pound bar. Tied for 4th in the heat, CrossFit Move Fast Lift Heavy 247 and CrossFit Mayhem Independence both had 37 reps through the men’s 295 pound bar and each added 8 reps on the women’s 215 pound bar for a score of 45 reps. CrossFit OBA held second, and CrossFit CLT The Grit Haus in third.

Paulson hit four cleans at the 315 pound barbell to tie the score to beat of 62 reps from CrossFit Milford Team Conquer in heat three. Morakinyo maintained his strategy of power cleans making the barbell look like a minor inconvenience in CrossFit East Nashville PRVN’s third win of the weekend. OBA had the Milford Team Conquer’s 62 reps in their sights but finished with 61 for a third place, their best of the weekend.

CrossFit Milford Team Conquer’s second place performance rockets them into qualifying position for CrossFit Games with one final test for the teams coming later today.
