Most elite athletes head into a CrossFit affiliate to do their Open workouts. But Sam Kwant is not ‘most athletes’. Instead, Kwant headed out to his garage gym to do 23.1.
And since he did the workout outside of an affiliate, he was required to submit a video with his workout. Kwant did the workout while being judged by his wife, Alyse.

Kwant, coming of a 4th place finish at the 2022 CrossFit Games, made the official switch to HWPO Training this off-season and is looking to jump onto the podium this year. Kwant has been to the CrossFit Games five times, including a 2nd place finish in 2020.
Kwant will be competing out of the North America West region this year.
