It’s been a week since the Phoenix Rise were crowned the 2016 NPGL champions. Now that the dust has settled and Provo, Utah, has quieted down a little bit, it’s time to announce the 2016 NPGL All-GRID Teams.
The All-GRID team consists of a body-weight specialist, generalist and closer for both male and female athletes. Two male and female reserves were also named to the teams.
The DC Brawlers had five athletes named to the 1st or 2nd All-GRID team while the Phoenix Rise came in with four. Interestingly, Phoenix’s Blaine McConnell who was named League MVP did not make the All-GRID team.
