In addition to individuals earning an invite to the 2020 CrossFit Games this past weekend, so did two teams. Team Odd Squat and Team Butcher’s Lab both won a Sanctional this weekend.
At the South CrossFit Challenge, Team Odd Squat squared off against Invictus. After a 7th place finish on Event 1, Team Odd Squat rallied to win the next 7 scored events. Invictus never finished worse than 3rd place in any event, but was unable to finish ahead of Team Odd Squat after the first event.
Team Odd Squat finished with 770 points to Invictus’ 750 points. Team Odd Squat’s roster included Jordan Cook, Brandon Luckett, Alexis Johnson and Emily Tanner.
Across the world in China, Team Butcher’s Lab won the Pandaland CrossFit Challenge. Consisting of Rebecka Vitesson, Louise Wickstrom, Andre Houdet and Julian Kragh-Maschvitsz.
With only five scored events over two days, Team Butcher’s Lab won four events. Their only non-win event came on Event 1 where they took 3rd. The Athlete Progrm finished every event in the top 3 but could not get an event win over Team Butcher’s Lab.
Both teams will receive invites to compete at the 2020 CrossFit Games. They join Team Meat Squad who won the CrossFit Filthy 150 last month.
