It’s hard to believe but Reebok is set to release its 15th iteration of Nano Trainers next month. The Nano X5 Training Shoe will be available for sale on January 24, 2025.
The Nano X5 comes with a new DUALRESPONSE Midsole and Decoupled Metasplit Outsole that is intended to “enhance support to cater to a range of movements from heavy lifts to increased flexibility and runnability.”
The DUALRESPONSE EVA Midsole is more cushioned and responsive in the forefoot, but firmer and stable near the heel.
The heel-to-toe drop remains at 7mm, similar to the latest iterations of the Nano line. This has not always been the case as the Nano X and prior was set to a 4mm drop. But the last four versions plus the upcoming X5 have been at the raised 7mm differential.
The heel drop is also in line with many of its competitors, including the TYR CXT2.
“The Nano X5 celebrates Reebok’s continued commitment to innovation, championing the athlete, and creating the best training shoe on the market,” says Tal Short, Product Director at Reebok. “In creating the Nano X5, we looked to our legacy in training and listened to our valued customer’s feedback, to create the most comfortable Nano of all time, without compromising on performance.”
The Reebok Nano X5 will be available January 24, 2025, and will be pricing starting at $140 USD on Reebok.com and other retailers.
There appears to a wide range of colorways available at launch, from the white upper with teal and red sole to a white/blue, black/gum and several others.
