This morning Reebok unveiled the latest version of its functional fitness shoe, the Nano X3. The Nano X3 is the 13th iteration of the Nano line-up since its debut at the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games. The Nano X3 builds off its predecessor, the Nano X2, but does include a new midsole feature called the Lift and Run (L.A.R.) Chassis System along an updated heel shape and clip.
“As the training needs of athletes and fitness enthusiasts continues to evolve, the Nano evolves with them,” says Tal Short, Senior Product Manager at Reebok. “The Nano X3 is the most dialed in Nano yet with a focus on comfort and support while offering a fresh new look and feel.”
That new look and feel can be seen in an updated lightweight, durable FlexWeave knit upper. In addition, the ROPEPRO+ outsole and tread pattern has been designed to protect against wear and tear and provide increased grip.
As for the L.A.R. chassis system, a dome TPU piece in the heel hardens under heavy load for stability when lifting weights but then softens when not. The dome is surrounded by Floatride energy foam to provide responsiveness and cushioning for running and jumping.
According to Short, the Nano X3 has been built to bridge the needs of stability for lifting along with the cushioning for running, all in one shoe. “[The X3] can do it all. It is the shoe for someone who wants really good on both ends [lifting and running] and awesome in the middle,” commented Short.
The Reebok X3 will be available to Reebok UNLOCKED members beginning February 3 with the full worldwide launch on February 10, just in time for the 2023 CrossFit Open. The Reebok Nano X3 will be available at Reebok.com/NanoX3 and select retailers worldwide.
The Nano X3 will be offered in unisex sizing, with select women’s-only colorways. Currently, there are six unisex colorways available on the Reebok website along with an all-white women’s-only colorway.
Following the launch, Reebok plans for 25 different colorways that will drop throughout the season.
