Rogue Fitness has announced that the company has collaborated with three-time Olympic gold medalist Pyrros Dimas to create the Rogue Pyrros Bar, a stainless steel barbell designed specifically for Olympic Weightlifting.
Rogue Fitness invited Dimas to Columbus to test out different elements of the barbell. After picking out his favorite knurl, type of steel and spin using various sleeve lubricants, Rogue and Dimas had the ‘ideal’ barbell.
Once it was all put together, Dimas’ response was, “It’s Perfect. You should call it the Pyrros Bar.”
The stainless steel bar features a 195K PSI tensile strength shaft with chrome plated sleeves. With 10 needle bearings and a more viscous lubricant, the spin is more controlled. The knurl texture is also different and was also tested out by two of this year’s USA World Team members. And to top it off, the end caps feature a Pyrros Bar logo.
The Pyrros bar has similar specs to that of the current Rogue Olympic WL Bar – Stainless Steel. However, the Pyrros bar does have a center knurl and different knurl texture. Both are priced at $695.
