$2.2 Million Prize Purse at 2016 CrossFit Games

As part of the agreement between CrossFit and Reebok, the 2016 CrossFit Games prize purse increased $200,000 over last year to $2.2 million. The purse will grow each year by $200,000 until it reaches $3.0 million in 2020.

First, second and third place individual finishers will still receive $275,000; $90,000 and $60,000, respectively. The amounts awarded for 4th place through 20th place have increased between $3,000 and $5,000. The full list of payouts is at the bottom of this article.

Athletes will also continue to win prize money for top 3 event finishes in addition to scoring the coveted 100, 95 and 90 points. An event victory takes home $3,000.

On the team side, the prize for 1st place increased $20,000 to $70,000. 2nd place will now receive $45,000 and 3rd place will earn $25,000. The top five team will all win prize money again this year.

The top 3 finishers in each Masters division will take home prize money with 1st place taking $10,000.
