Dave Castro did not wait long to reveal the five movements as part of the individual chipper he teased over the weekend. Castro even gave fans another hint this morning to let someone win the Assault Bike for correctly guessing the event movements.
While no one did get the event 100% correct, Rob Tumy did get four of the five movements correct. The only miss was the 20 Shoulder-to-Overhead. Tumy guessed deadlifts. But in the end it was close enough and he ‘won’ an Assault Bike.
The Individual Chipper is:
100 Pull-ups
80 GHD Sit-Ups
60 Pistols
40 Cals on C2 Rower
20 Shoulder-to-Overhead (100/70)
The event looks interesting, but if you notice the 20 Shoulder-to-Overheads the weight is 100/70. That’s a very odd weight which points to a dumbbell. In the Open, the weights were 50/35. At Regionals it was 80/55. The natural progression is to see 100/70 at the Games.
