Chyna Cho finished 17.1 in 11:35, good for 5th place in the Northern California region. But the Northern California leaderboard doesn’t show Cho near the top after 17.2. The reason? Cho’s score was inadvertently rejected by her husband, Freddy Camacho, following the 5pm PT submission deadline on Monday.
While scores must be submitted by 5pm on Monday, judges have 48 hours (Wednesday at 5pm PT) to validate scores. When Camacho rejected his wife’s score, there was no way to go back and fix his mistake since it was after the submission deadline.
Camacho says that Cho scored 204 reps, but right now it’s not reflected on the leaderboard. Camacho has contacted CrossFit Games support and are waiting to hear back. Stay tuned The Barbell Spin to find out whether Cho’s score is re-instated by CrossFit HQ.
