On Monday, the Cookeville, Tennessee, planning commission voted to approve renaming a road in honor of Rich Froning. The road, currently named Design Drive, will be changed to Rich Froning Way. The request came from members of the Cookeville City Council.
The street name will become effective 30 days from the approval. In this case, you can drive on Rich Froning Way on August 24, 2016.
A day earlier, Rich Froning won his second consecutive CrossFit Games team title and it is the sixth year in a row he has won at the CrossFit Games. From 2011-2014, Froning won the individual CrossFit Games title.
