The past two years, the top 10 teenagers in each age category were invited to compete at the CrossFit Games. At the Games, the 14-15 and 16-17 divisions would compete at the same time, making it difficult for viewers to keep up on the leaders.
That is all going to change in 2017. There are two big changes for the teenage divisions for this year’s CrossFit Games season.
First, the top 200 teens in each division will move on to the Online Qualifier held in April. This is the 4th year for the Online Qualifier that has been used as an intermediary for the Masters competition. Second, in 2017, the top 20 teens from each division following the Online Qualifierwill advance to compete at the CrossFit Games. This change will also set it up so that each division will compete by itself each workout.
