Misfit Athletics is running its 4th annual Mock Regionals this weekend. Based in Maine, Misfit Athletics has produced several CrossFit Games veterans including Travis Williams, Jordan Cook and Alexis Johnson in addition to many teams.

In an effort to give an early preview of where their athletes stand in terms of Regionals preparedness, the Misfit crew led by Drew Crandall and Seth Page have created their 4th year of the Misfit Mock Regionals. This year, the men’s side is stacked with four CrossFit Games veterans and many more Regionals athletes. Roy Gamboa, Travis Williams, Jordan Cook and Samuel Kwant have all competed at the CrossFit Games and are battling it out this weekend.

On the women’s side, Alexis Johnson is definitely the featured female athlete. But keep an eye on some of the young guns who are showing they have what it takes to compete. Athletes like Rachel Campbell, Mekenzie Riley, Kloie Wilson and Jessica Aelvoet are hanging with Johnson after Day 1.

And these Mock Regionals aren’t just for fun. The event is sponsored by FitAID and ROMWOD. There are cash payouts for the top 3 men and women. First place for each takes home $2,000. Not too bad for three days of brutal workouts.
