CrossFit Open 17.3 will be a showdown at the Alamo. On March 9, defending CrossFit Games champion Mat Fraser will battle Cole Sager and Scott Panchik. Sager and Panchik finished 5th and 6th, respectively, at last year’s CrossFit Games.
The trio will compete at Alamo City CrossFit in San Antonio, Texas. This is not the first time Fraser has gone up against a pair of elite CrossFit Games veterans. Last year, Fraser destroyed 16.5 (same as 14.5) and left Rich Froning and Ben Smith in his wake.
In an interesting side story, both Fraser and Sager are part of the Built by Bergeron team. Will their familiarity with each other’s strengths and weaknesses help them when they have 15 minutes to prepare to the workout?
