Guy Rejects Emily Abbott Because She’s “Muscly”

Over the past ten years, CrossFit has helped redefine beauty and what it is to be a female. It has opened doors for women to be self-confident, athletic and strong. Unfortunately, this mindset has not propagated to everyone.

Emily Abbott, a 3-time CrossFit Games athlete, recently was “matched” on a dating site and ended up receiving a couple interesting texts from a guy who doesn’t get the notion that women can be strong AND beautiful.

Alright- so I’m a single gal and I’m on the dating scene. I recently “matched” with a dude who proceeded to write me this message. This is the kind of bullshit that I have to put up with….this isn’t the first time either. And I know lots of ladies who deal with this kind of bullshit too. Be nice to people out there my friends- everyone is fighting a hard battle. Oh yes and this fuels me to train even harder.
