The City of Jacksonville has made it public that it wants to host the CrossFit Games for the next three years. Following that announcement, Lenny Curry, Jacksonville Mayor, has become visibly supportive on social media.
In addition to the existing #CROSSFITtoJAX hashtag, a new hashtag is being used to further promote the city’s desire to get the Games to Florida. The hashtag, #Burpees4theBid, is being incorporated by CrossFit boxes in the Jacksonville area. Mayor Curry jumped in and did some burpees as well.
