Last week, Lindsey Valenzuela announced via social media that she is pregnant and will miss the 2016 CrossFit Games season. Valenzuela is due June 7 and in a subsequent Instagram post announced she is having a boy.
On October 15, Lindsey posted on Facebook that she would not be able to compete on in the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Invitational due to suffering a back injury, but it may be that the pregnancy is also a reason Lindsey did not compete. Margaux Alvarez replaced Valenzuela on Team USA.
Lindsey is a 3-time CrossFit Games veteran. She finished 7th in the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games. Her best finish was in 2013 where she finished in 2nd place. Lindsey was also a member of the NPGL‘s LA Reign.
