The wait is over, Madison, Wisconsin, will host the 2017-2019 CrossFit Games. After many months of speculation, Dave Castro announced the location following the conclusion of the CrossFit Invitational.
The 2017 CrossFit Games will not be held in July, however. The Games will be from August 1 through August 6. Ticket information will be available next spring.
Since April, fans across the globe have been wondering if the Games would finally leave the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Through social media posts, cities including Jacksonville, Chattanooga, Boston and Madison have been hinted as potential hosts.
The Alliant Energy Center will host the main event. Madison is the capital of Wisconsin and has a population over 500,000. The average high in July is 82 so heat should not be a problem as it was in Carson.
