If you’ve checked out the leaderboard the past couple days, you might have seen a name you didn’t recognize. Sitting in 4th place in the CrossFit Open after 17.3 is Marcelo Bruno. Bruno, from Chile, has had three solid performances so far during the 2017 CrossFit Open and finds himself behind Mat Fraser, Rich Froning and Noah Ohlsen.
We did some research on Bruno and have found some videos of him before he got into CrossFit. His benchmark stats on his CrossFit Games profile are quite impressive (638-pound deadlift, 80 max pull-ups, 308-pound snatch) and now we might know why.
Check out Bruno on a Chilean television show from back in 2013. Bruno holds two cars weighing 1,300kg (2,860 pounds) from rolling off ramps!
