RoThe competitive CrossFit programmers, Misfit Athletics, hosted their 4th annual Mock Regionals this past weekend. The event gives the athletes who follow their programming and anyone else who wants to participate a way to gauge their fitness level among their fellow friends and competitors a few months before the 2017 CrossFit Open and Regionals begin.
Several CrossFit Games veterans including Roy Gamboa, Travis Williams, Jordan Cook, Samuel Kwant and Alexis Johnson laced them up and competed in the event.
The 3-day, 7-event competition ended on Sunday with Roy Gamboa winning the men’s competition with Samuel Kwant and Travis Williams taking 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Mekenzie Riley won the women’s competition followed by Rachel Campbell and Kloie Wilson. Alexis Johnson finished 7th overall. Riley competed on the OC3 Black team that placed 5th at the 2016 CrossFit Games. As an individual, Riley finished 4th in the North Central region during last year’s CrossFit Open.
