Sam Briggs is in the United States, Will Compete at CrossFit Games

On June 28, Sam Briggs announced via Instagram that she needed help in order to make it to the United States as she had run into issues with her visa. Briggs asked the community for help as she and her lawyers continued to investigate all viable options to fly to Carson.

Since that day, there weren’t many updates other than she was going to continue to workout and hope for the best.

And now, one hour ago, Progenex’s Instagram feed showed Sam Briggs standing next to an American flag. Briggs landed in the United States this morning and will be competing this week at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games.

Briggs reposted the photo and added, “I can’t believe I’ve actually made it. Literally got the all clear jumped on a plane and here I am. Talk about perfect timing. 0 days till registration. A massive thank you to everyone who showed there [sic] support. It’s been a very stressful month but I made it and I’m ready to go have some fun @crossfitgames.”
