Social media is filled with Regional athletes testing Event 1. But while we see photos or short video clips of athletes doing the workouts, no one is sharing their time.
However, athletes who are not competing as an individual have no incentive to hide a score. That’s where Anthony Davis comes in. Davis finished 5th in the world during the CrossFit Open, but elected to go team and join Timberwolf CrossFit.
Davis is doing the individual workouts during training “for fun”. His time for Event 1? 16:01. He subbed a 1,400m run outside in place of the 1,200m TrueForm run and went unbroken on all of the movements.
His thoughts on the workout, “…this will be more of a sprint than ya think. I bet someone gets in the 14:00’s or faster. This was a no fail pace.” Just based on his Open performance alone, a time under 16 minutes is going to be good, but can an athlete like Josh Bridges beat that time by more than 2 minutes?
