Here’s what (and when) to keep an eye on during the last day of regional competition.

East

Team

Event 7/8: Heat 3 begins at 9:25am EST
Event 9: Heat 3 begins at 10:55am

Women

Michele Letendre experienced severe quad cramps during Event 5 yesterday leaving questions about whether she will be at full strength today. CrossGit Games veteran, Dani Horan, sits in 5th place heading into Sunday. Watch as Whitney Gelin, Tasia Percevecz and Cheryl Nasso try to break into the top 5.

Event 6: Heat 4 begins at 12:45pm EST
Event 7: Heat 4 begins at 3:20pm EST

Men

Mathew Fraser has had the East on lockdown. Patrick Vellner put on a performance of a lifetime on Saturday with three top 10 performances (and an event win) with a torn bicep. Only 21 points separates 5th place from Austin Malleolo in 9th place. The final heat will be full of excitement this afternoon.

Event 6: Heat 4 begins at 2:15pm EST
Event 7: Heat 4 begins at 4:10pm EST

Central

Team

Rich Froning and his CrossFit Mayhem Freedom team is significantly better this year with the addition of Lindy Barber. With three event victories so far, CrossFit Mayhem Freedom is running away with it. CrossFit 417 fell out of the top 5 with two sub-par performances yesterday. Can they erase a 23 point deficit to OC3 Black with three events remaining?

Event 7/8: Heat 3 begins at 9:55am EST
Event 9: Heat 3 begins at 11:am EST

Women

Sheila Barden has shown grit this weekend and is now sitting in 1st place after two days of competition. But she’s not a lock for the Games as she is only 40 points ahead of 6th place. The women’s competition is tight and no one is safe going into Event 6 and 7 today. Make sure to tune in to the final heat this afternoon.

Event 6: Heat 4 begins at 1:15pm EST
Event 7: Heat 4 begins at 3:50pm EST.

Men

We predicted that Saturday would be a great day for Jacob Heppner. We were right as he finished with two 2nd place and a 1st place finish. He vaulted to the top of the leaderboard and is now 10 points ahead of Scott Panchik. Sam Dancer is sitting on the bubble in 5th place ahead of Paul Castillo and Graham Holmberg. Will Dancer avoid collapse like last year on the final event? Watch the live stream this afternoon to find out.
