The Barbell Spin – This week on THE SPIN, the crew discuss the CrossFit Open. Tyler and Spin get into an argument about 26.2 and whether it was programmed well or not. Tyler, from his perch as a top 5% athlete thought the workout was too easy. Spin disagreed.
They then gave their predictions on who would podium at Wodapalooza. Of course, that was all before Jayson Hopper began lobbying for a spot in the elite individual division.
Blind Rankings and then we take a look at the Roman Khrennikov controversy around his special invite to the French Throwdown. Tyler then drops his conspiracy theory…that Roman is actually injured and got the invite because he couldn’t do the qualifier.
To Tyler’s point, Khrennikov had a really bad first week where he was 612th in the world. He followed that up with a 101st on 26.2. The past three years Roman has not finished worse than 18th in the world.
Keep in mind that Khrennikov had hip surgery in October 2024. Could he be having issues again?
