HillerFit Training – Ever think you would watch a video of an NFL quarterback jump rope for five minutes? That’s exactly what you will do if you click the video by Andrew Hiller above.
Tyson Bagent’s path to the NFL is defined by his background as an undrafted free agent from Division II Shepherd University, where he set the NCAA record for career touchdown passes across all divisions. He signed with the Chicago Bears in 2023 and quickly made history, becoming the first undrafted rookie quarterback from a Division II school to start an NFL game in over a decade, stepping in for an injured Justin Fields.
His athleticism and durability are often attributed to his deep roots in CrossFit; his father, legendary arm wrestler Travis Bagent, owned a CrossFit affiliate where Tyson began training at age 10. Bagent has frequently credited this high-intensity functional training for his physical resilience, famously quipping that his backup plan if football failed was to “CrossFit my life away” and become a “ripped” high school gym teacher.
