Today, the USAW announced that Baton Rouge, Louisiana, will host the 2016 National University Championships in September. The event will be held at the River Center Arena from September 22-25 and will determine the World University Championships roster in November. Gayle Hatch Weightlifting will co-host the event.
Special hotel pricing and airport shuttles will be available to athletes who stay at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel, which is across the street from the River Center Arena. In 2015, over 370 students competed and 2016 is expected to be even bigger.
