CJ Cummings Sets Junior and Senior American Records at American Open

CJ Cummings just had an amazing night at the 2016 USA Weightlifting American Open. Competing in the 69kg weight category, Cummings snatched 138kg for the Junior American Record. The record snatch was 1kg better than his previous record of 137kg set at the IWF Junior World Championships in June.

Cummings followed that up with a 183kg clean & jerk for a Junior and Senior American Records. The clean and jerk was again 1kg better than his previous record that was set at the IWF Youth Championships in October.

The 138-183-321 stat line was also good for a Junior and Senior American Record Total. Cummings bested his total records by 4kg, again set in June at the IWF Junior World Championships.
