
The IWF just announced the 10 athletes whose samples from the 2012 Olympic Games tested positive during the IOC’s reanalysis testing. Included in this list is Ilya Ilyin (Kazakhstan).
Ilyin was rumored to be one of the Kazakhstan athletes in the weeks leading up to today. The IWF reports that Ilyin’s sample tested positive for Stanzolol and Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone. Ilyin, along with the nine other athletes, have been provisionally suspended by the IWF until their cases are closed. Once the IOC’s decisions are completed, the IWF will take over the results management of these cases.
