The IWF website is down this morning after it was hacked by someone who posted Behdad Salimikordasiabi’s (Iran) name and image on the website. The incident came following controversy over Salimikordasiabi’s second clean and jerk attempt.
After initially ruled a successful by the judges, the jury overruled the decision. Salimikordasiabi went on to miss his final attempt. He bombed out of the clean and jerk and failed to post a total.
Iranian fans booed loudly while Salimikordasiabi and his team approached the jury, which is against the rules. Iran could face potential sanctions from the incident.
