Most of you have probably already seen Jared Fleming’s first clean and jerk attempt at the 2015 IWF World Championships where he appears to have injured his knee after standing up the clean. Following an MRI, Fleming confirmed that he has a completely torn ACL and a partially torn medial meniscus. He is consulting with several surgeons to determine the best surgical method to repair his ACL.
Regardless of how his knee is surgically repaired, Fleming will have at least 4-6 months of rehab following surgery. This will put him at a severe disadvantage to qualify for the 2016 Olympics, if he can even compete at all.
During Fleming’s rehab, he plans on launching customized programming with his father, Dave Fleming. In addition, he will continue to offer Outlaw Barbell Camps across the country, again with his father.
