
The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) issued a four-year sanction to Kelly (Breanne) Dykes last week following a positive in-competition drug test at the 2016 USAW National Under 25 Championships in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dykes tested positive for clenbuterol, ostarine and a metabolite of tamoxifen.
Dykes’ four-year ban began on October 27, 2016, when when provisional suspension started. All results from the 2016 USAW National Under 25 Championships and any subsequent results have been disqualified. Dykes competed in the 63kg B session finishing 8th overall with a 75kg snatch, 87kg clean & jerk and 162kg total.
Dykes is also competing in the 2017 CrossFit Open, but is not in contention to advance to the next stage of the competition, Regionals. Dykes only posted 1 rep on 17.2 and currently sits in 4,255th place in the South East region.
