Maddy Myers took first place in the 63kg weight class yesterday. Myers went 4-for-6 (missed a snatch and a clean & jerk) on her way to a 209kg total. The total broke her existing 206kg junior American record.
Myers hit an 89kg snatch on her second attempt and a 120kg clean and jerk on her third attempt. The clean and jerk also broke her previous junior American record.
Myers walked away with a gold in the clean and jerk and total and a bronze in the snatch.
