On Tuesday, Mattie Rogers posted a video on Instagram of her barbell rolling into a window after a failed snatch attempt. While the video gained popularity within the weightlifting community (as expected), but it quickly became viral with many other news sites jumping the “story”.
ESPN, Huffington Post and SB Nation were among the many outlets who spent a few seconds to away from the regular coverage to highlight the weightlifting “fail”. If only they recognized weightlifters’ achievements prior to breaking a window.
