Nicole Moore has accepted a six-month sanction following a positive test she provided at the 2016 National University Championships in September. Moore tested positive forĀ 1,3-dimethylbutylamine (DMBA) which is a stimulant banned by USADA and IWF’s Anti-Doping policy.

An investigation into the positive test revealed that a dietary supplement was the cause. USADA found that Moore checked the ingredients, but deceptive labeling was at play. Because of the deceptive labeling and Moore’s effort to make sure she was in compliance, USADA lowered the sanction to six months.

USADA has added the product to the list of high risk supplements maintained on USADA’s website.

Moore competed in the 75kg B session at the National University Championships. Moore finished 9th overall with a 74-102-176 stat line.
