Seth Tom and 15 other Team USA athletes are in Bangkok, Thailand, competing at the 2017 IWF Youth World Championships. The first day of competition is underway and Team USA’s Seth Tom just set a new Youth American Record Snatch.
Tom, who turned 15 years old today, competed in the 50kg weight category. On Tom’s third snatch attempt, he successfully lifted 75kg. The lift breaks his own record by 1kg, set just last month at the American Open Series I.
Tom would end up going 5-for-6 finishing 21st in his weight category.
