Harrison Maurus, 16 years old, broke the Youth American Record for Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total this past weekend at the 2016 USAW American Open. Maurus broke his own records that he set a year prior at the 2015 USAW American Open.
Maurus went 2-for-3 on the snatch finishing with 146kg. He followed it up on the clean & jerk going 2-for-3 as well and a successful 182kg second attempt. Maurus missed his third attempt at 187kg.
Maurus finished the day with three silver medals in the 77kg weight category with a 328kg total. Check out his two Youth American Record lifts below!
