Around this time every year athletes who are training for the CrossFit Games begin trying out new movements and elements hoping to get lucky and be prepared for whatever curve ball Dave Castro throws at them. From stand-up paddle boarding to triple-unders, each year brings something new.
This year it looks like freestanding handstand push-ups are the latest guess. We saw the ring handstand push-ups last year so is this the next progression of the upside down gymnastics movement?
Your guess is good as ours, but here are some athletes testing out their balance upside down.
🤸🏽♂️ All the head rushes today.. loving the new Nano 7 Weaves @reebok @reebokmena even if they were just floating in the air today 😏☺️😅 Not long ago I used to do handstands every spare second I had, no matter where I was, much to some people’s disgrace. I seemed to have stopped that over the last few years making this a little harder 😒 Time to get back to the old days… Never stop playing… find your inner kid 😜👌 #IWasThatAnnoyingKid #HandStandEveryWhere #Crossfit
I feel so fortunate to have so many amazing people helping me get better! I also feel like I get better at gymnastic just by osmosis when @seancarllind is here to help hahaha #practice #workhard #beproud #from6amto7pmtoday #allthefitness #refininghspu @cjinvictus @hinshaw363 @fatlittleelbows @davefreakinlipson @crossfitinvictus
What do you think? Will we see Freestanding Handstand Push-ups in Madison?
